Register Now: Effective Egoism Workshop
Effective Egoism is out and I priced it so low there’s no excuse not to buy: $9.99 print, $4.99 Kindle. Here’s what one reader said:
I was fortunate to get a pre-release copy . . . and devoured it. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about Objectivism and Ayn Rand's work and this puts it all into everyday practice. How to apply these philosophical concepts into everyday living. I shared the book with my son who has not read Rand and he loved it. Little did I know he was searching for this kind of direction and roadmap to a more fulfilling, happier life. I have recommended this to several friends, several are longer time Objectivists and the reaction has been the same. They devour the content. I deserves to be read a couple of times as it is rich with content that needs time to really think through. Congrats Don. Well done!! —Glen
You can buy the book here.
One thing that makes Effective Egoism different from similar books is that the focus is on action. This is not an academic work making the case for a morality of rational self-interest: this is a guide to helping you use a morality of rational self-interest to pursue and achieve happiness.
To that end, I’ll be hosting 3 workshops where our focus will be on implementing and applying the ideas discussed in Effective Egoism.
Session 1: The philosophy of happiness (Dec 27, 6-8 pm ET)
Session 2: The philosophy of work (Dec 28, 6-8 pm ET)
Session 3: The philosophy of relationships (Dec 29, 6-8 pm ET)
You can attend one or all of these sessions. The format will consist of me sharing some material I wasn’t able to include in the book, and then delving into whatever issues are on your mind.
The book is a quick read, but don’t worry if you won’t have time to finish it before we start. The discussions will be self-contained, and you can always choose to attend the sessions for which you’ve done the reading.
Can’t make it live? You can send in your questions beforehand, and I’ll share the recordings with anyone who registers. But please note: these sessions will not be made public so if you want access to this material, you need to register before the deadline of Wednesday, Dec 20 at 12:00 pm ET.
